REALLY Eating Green!

Okay!  Here's a picture of my lunch....

Oh, Boy!
Am I ever REALLY eating Green!!  Green seedless grapes and tuna salad on green sandwich wrap, and then there's my coffee in a green cup too!  This is my fourth day on the "plan" and I've been doing pretty good for the most part.  EXCEPT for last night's binge on peanut butter granola bars.  I had three of them last night while I was relaxing in front of the TV.  But even with that lasp I still found myself down 3 lbs. this morning. YES!

But I'm not sure if that's all due to staying on the eating plan or that I've ridden almost 72 miles on my bicycle over the last few days.  Biking season is almost in full swing and I'm out and about putting in the miles.  It's my first real LOVE but I know that I need to fit in some running sometime too.  I need to prepare for the Park City half marathon that I'm planning on doing in August.

But last night I found myself  "lying like broccoli" (keeping to the green theme here) and part of it was due to cooler temps out and part of it was due to more recent ache/pains.  Recently, I've been noticing a slight soreness-dull ache in my upper thighs and kind of up into my front hip area.  It's gotten to the point where yesterday I was taking shorter steps when I walk; because otherwise I would experience pain.  I did however discover that if I walked a little bow-legged I could take larger steps.  But straight forward larger steps??  OUCH!

So last night after I had my menu planned dinner ( Spicy-coated pork loin, cauliflower with lite sour cream McButter sauce, and strawberry with non-fat vanilla yogurt) and before my peanut butter granola binge, I found myself doing stretches.  Basically, I was trying to do the splits front to back.  This seemed to help, and I was back to walking more normally after this.  But then this morning, I wake up and ugh!  I'm back to short steps-- "baby steps".  My muscles had stiffened over night.  I think I may have to go to a doctor which I REALLY do not like to do.  I try to avoid doctors as much as I can, but if this doesn't improve in a few days I amy have to go.  Darn it!
